This One-Day Masterclass is designed for investigators, operational leaders and safety professionals who currently use ICAM and want to strengthen the quality and impact of their investigations. The course builds on familiar investigation foundations while introducing practical, modern techniques that enhance analysis, reduce bias, and improve learning from events. Participants will explore contemporary safety science tools—such as understanding human error, local rationality, and three-line timelines—that complement traditional investigation methods and help explain why decisions made sense at the time. The focus is on improving insight, recommendations, and learning outcomes, while maintaining investigations that are credible, defensible, and fit for regulatory and organisational expectations. NOTE - To support teams attending together, registrations for this NZ delivery include a second place at no additional cost, making it easier to build shared capability and learning back in your organisation.
